Read the standards for sourcing, fairness, right of response, minors, lived experience, elections, corrections and public claims.
Accuracy before velocity
Primary documents are opened, classified and cited next to material claims. Corrective government action is credited plainly. Unresolved questions are labeled; motive is not inferred from an appropriation, silence, delay or disagreement.
Fairness and right of response
The strongest reasonable agency, legislative, fiscal or procedural counterargument is recorded with the claim. Before publishing a new adverse factual inference, the responsible public entity receives a fair opportunity to provide documents or a response.
Children, families and lived experience
The project does not solicit or publish identifying child, case, court, diagnosis, placement, school or family information. Lived-experience material requires informed, revocable, trauma-aware consent and an adult safety review. A child is never used as a promotional hook.
Nonpartisanship and elections
Officials are evaluated by authority, conduct and public record, not party identity. The project does not endorse candidates, build candidate scorecards, target persuasion using foster-care involvement or encourage anyone to misrepresent residence or role.
Corrections and attribution
Material corrections preserve the original wording, revised wording, date, reason and source. A link, reply, factual review or acknowledgment is not described as endorsement or partnership without written permission.
